PRIDE & PASSION SALE September 2010

BST Pastoral Co conducted their inaugural on property female sale on the 11th September 2010.With Paul Dooley auctioneering the sale was a great success with females selling to a top of $12,000 for a 23 month PTIC heifer. Lot 1 BST Tullatoola Victoria D83, a Red Six Mile Sakic daughter topped the sale at $12,000 selling to Peter Weiss, Marulen NSW. This heifer was the Interbreed Champion heifer at the 2010 Bendigo National Beef Show. Peter also purchased Red Ter-Ron Fully Loaded daughter for $3,250. This heifer was lot 17 “Uschy E11.

New members Des and Carol Grylls, EJ Angus Victoria purchased several lots including a heifer at $7,000 and an embryo package of Red Towaw Indeed/Amaroo Park Uschy U7 embryos for $1,100each. The Grylls top price heifer was BST Tullatoola Diffy D148 (lot 48). Indeed heifers were keenly sought after with BST Tullatoola Cherry D88 also selling to Peter Weiss for $10,000.

Cows and calves topped at $8,000 twice with Gavin and Kirrily Iseppi adding to their GK herd BST Tullatoola Cherry C67, a half sister to the $10,000 Lot 5 heifer. Sired y Red JD Bonafide 119N this cow sold with a bull calf at foot. The Johnson family, Orange also paid $8,000 for Lot 74 BST Tullatoola Anna C121. Sired by home bred sire BST Tullatoola Mr Beef A25 this female sold with a heifer calf at foot.

Volume buyers operated at the sale from Queensland, Victoria and Tasmania as well as strong local NSW support.  Bulls topped at $8,000 with Sam Hunter selecting BST Tullatoola Fully Loaded E16. This young sire already has an impressive show record in two states with Sam having an appreciation of his genetics from his Canadian travels in 2009.

March 2010

With the added rain across NSW the season has helped many cattle producers start to recover from some of the worst dry times one can remember. After talking to many of our clients it is pleasing to here that the bulls out there in commercial industry are doing well for there new owners.

This year will see a huge milestone for BST Tullaltoola Red Angus with the decision to hold our first on farm sale. A complete 2008D drop will be offered along with most of the C drop cows and calves. This opportunity to acquire some unique genetics will present itself at this sale.

Our show season has started with some excellent results. Tullatoola Yang BSTC007 has had three outings:
